Clear Communication for a low price

Pros Clear communications, very good volume, 22 channels, and 7 weather channels.
Cons Heavy to carry, limited communication range.
Recommended it? Yes

UNIDEN GMRS 720 radios communicate very clearly on any channel under 3 miles, and the call tones are very clear, too. Nice back lite display, easy to see day or night.

Purchased a pair of Uniden GMR1038-2 for around the neighborhood chat. The tone and reception is excellent! Other user's say that I hammer their receivers with the signal however, the price is outrageous battery consumption. The 750 ma ni-mh batteries I use for hours at a time in an AudioVox pair... Pros It's inexpensive.
Cons To many buttons in the wrong places.
Recommended it? No

This radio is a cheap way to communicate while out in the woods. Unfortunately I can't vouch for the range. While 2 miles away from my partner we could not communicate whatsoever. I was in my truck and my partner was indoors, we should have had some contact. Communication should have been possible... Read full review »
