Broken... AGAIN! Maytag M6Y18F7A Air Conditioner.

Pros Blows Cool. Quiet when working.
Cons Broken twice within a few years of minimal use. Repair times unacceptable.
Recommended it? No

My unit blows very cool and is quite quiet for a large window unit.
If only it would stop locking up I would love it!

Broke within two months of use (fan locked,sparks ect..). Was dropped off at the Maytag repair facility in NJ and repaired (Unit took four months to repair!!!!).

Cons lasted 3 partial season. Company non responsive. Cannot find service center or new...

This unit cooled just fine, when it worked. I used it just a few times each summer in a summer cabin. The fan quit working after one 3 seasons. couldn't find any one to fix it. Can't find another one just like it to replace it in existing hole. I paid the extra money for the Maytag relibility, yea... Read full review »
