I ordered one thing and the vet changed the order, I didn't see that, so I got the wrong item. I feel that 1. I goofed up, 2. I wish there was a double check by PetFood Direct. Now I'm waiting for a response on what I need to do.

I ordered 60 cans of 13oz Innova cat food from PetFoodDirect.
Pros:*Arrived in only 3 days from purchase date. *Even with shipping, at the time I made my purchase they were cheaper than from anywhere local and everywhere else I checked online. *The food doesn't expire for 2 years, so I didn't have that problem, which I saw other people reporting. Cons: At least 80% of the cans had a significant dent in them, and about 10 of them were badly crushed and unusable. PetFoodDirect is a pet food delivery company. That is what they specialize in. Thus, they should know by now how to ship pet food to me without damaging or ruining the majority of my purchase. They failed at their primary service. That's why I don't and won't order from them anymore. |

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Never received items I ordered, and then when I called, was first told that it was being shipped directly from the manufacturer and then, when I had to call a second time, was told that the manufacturer had just canceled the order and I'd get a refund in several days. When I asked when it was canceled, was told they didn't know and when I asked why I had to wait more days for the refund, was told that someone was on vacation for a week. All of those other reviews that mention horrible service and bad information are really true. Don't order from these people.

I was ripped off by PetFoodsDirect when they sent me cat treats packages which were half the weight as those used by competing pet supply retailers. Then they charged me to ship 3 lbs but the box that arrived weighed just 11 oz. I will NEVER do business with this conpany again!

I refuse to buy from PetFoodDirect.com at this point but I hope they can change my mind.
I signed up with thier website and was emailed a 20% off coupon. It would take a 40% off coupon just to get thier prices down to normal and then you still have to put shipping charges on top of that. The shipping charges are also way higher than they need to be because they over estimate the actual weight of the product. So until they send me the 60% off entire purchase code I will not even consider buying from them since it is not until you take the 60% off that you even reach a fair market value on these items. |

I have been ordering for 6 months now and signed up especially to leave postive review. Online shopping can't be any better. Never experienced what some of the negative reviews expressed and before I shop I always read the negative reviews. Still, I ordered once (and came back over and over) because of dog food selection. I lways find my rare high quality dog food items here and quick shipping throughout the six months of ordering has been the standard. Big thumbs up. I prefer shopping here because it is easy and quick.

Although the prices are fairly good, the experience was abominable. This is the only on-line company I know that charges your credit card before shipping anything out. It took me 3 calls over 3 days to get them to ship what was available while waiting for items on backlog (over 100 pounds of merchandise was ordered so it would always have been shipped in at least 2 packages anyway). I believe that only when I mentioned contacting the CEO and the Better Business Bureau was anything finally done. The final and 3rd shipment was incorrect and I am still trying to get a refund for this error.
If you add an hourly rate for my time and attach a money value for my aggravation, it was not worth any savings and I will not use them again. |

Poor experience. I have ordered heartworm medicine for my dog from other sites with no problems. This time, I was searching for places for another prescription for my dog. I came across PetFoodDirect (PFD) and they were lower than most a little more than a few others. I picked them becuase of the relatively low price and the BBB rating.
I placed the order and after 4 days, I followed up with an email to Pet Food Direct, and received a response that they were waiting on my vet to respond. Finally, after I intervened we got the script from the vet. I asked PFD to upgrade shipping to overnight since they had dropped the ball and I was out of medicine for my dog, the customer service manager said that they could not do anything. This was too much hassle for the savings, next time I will go back to 800PetMeds because I would probably already have the medicine for my dog. |

Pet Food Direct seems to do all they do to rip the customer off; I received my order in a thin, cardboard box and as I suspected some of the dog food cans were crushed.Even though I was assured a refund for these items it hasn't happened yet and then I was double billed for the entire order to boot! The only way I got my money back was through my bank.Even though the PFD customer service people were polite none of the things that they said they would do were done; they didn't even acknowledge that I had been double billed.My bank customer service person just took one look at my account and saw the error and took care of it immediately without my even asking.
One of the items I ordered was not included and I have no idea if ever I will receive that item. An incomplete order, double billing and damaged goods. Pet Food Direct is the worse.I will never ever order from them again. Beware people! |

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased some supplements for my dog and chose the auto shipment plan. DONT CHOOSE THE AUTO SHIPMENT-IT DOESNT WORK!!! First, they sent it way too soon even though I chose the correct interval when I signed up. I had to call to correct it twice and they STILL sent it way too soon. I finally refused the final shipment and cancelled the auto shipment altogether. Then the tragedy of my pet passing away suddenly left me with these 3 unopened, unexpired, perfectly good bottles of supplements which they wont let me return due to their 30 day return policy!!! It was their mistake that I even had 3 bottles I couldnt use!!!! And it was past their 30 days because I hadnt finished the first ones I purchased. Now they wont even return my emails!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!

I placed an order for some canned cat food over seven days ago (including five "business days") and have not heard from PFD. This would not be as much of a problem because they said 3-5 business days to process orders, except that I have also emailed them twice and have not received a response yet. Their price was 40 cents less per can than my local PetSmart store, but so far I am not pleased with PFD at all.
Also, you cannot check your order status on PFD which is annoying and is also bad business. I did not know they were middlemen, or I would not have ordered from them at all. I should have known that Pet Food DIRECT was a misnomer and misleading on purpose. I will probably cancel my order if they do not respond within another two days or so, and place my order at Waggintails, which had a very close price, and might actually send me my order and/or respond to my inquiries. |

I have ordered from Petfooddirect online store three times now. I had a good experience one order...it arrived quickly...and the last two times is soooo slowwww...
It is not working out for me...I will have to order from some other place. The price was better for what i was ordering....dry cat food...I have ordered the same thing all three times... Very disappointed. Especially since Wellness products aren't available in my area. So i have to order online. It is pitiful when you order so your cats won't run out of the good food and the shipping still is so slow...you have to use a less quality brand to get by on until the order finally arrives. I do not recommend ordering from Pet food direct unless you live in Pennsylvania. |

We are experiencing some difficulty processing your current order using the credit card information we currently have on file. Please contact Customer Service so that we may get your order out to you as soon as possible. For security reasons do not email your credit card information. You can reach us toll-free at 1-800-865-1333 from 9am-5:30 pm M-F T___ Customer Service 800.865.1333 - Option 1 I check with Chase and the charge went through on 06/28, posted on 06/29 and credited to their account the next business day. The Customer Service Rep was unable to grasp the fact that I had actually paid for the product, the billing and ship to address were correct/identical and they needed to ship the product I had paid for. After several minutes on the phone getting nowhere I cancelled the order. This is our first and last experience with them. Their customer service department doesn't seem to care that they lost a customer over their own stupidity. |

I am amazed at the quality of service given the low prices I found at Pet Food Direct.
I recently went to Petco for guinea pig bedding (carefresh ultra). Two bags ran me $58 WITH my P.A.L.S. discount card. That's some serious scratch for BEDDING. I was able to buy four bags (the same exact type and size), a hut and some chew toys from Pet Food Direct for $77, including shipping. Seventy seven dollars. I can't believe it, right to my door. I'm never going back to Petco again. It's literally less than half the price of the pet store, and everything arrived well packaged. I'm looking at the four bags right now and I can't believe how much cheaper they were. |

I have been a customer of PetFoodDirect for a few years and have never had a problem. They have a great selection, offering quality brands not available in local stores. Their shipping is expensive and kind of slow, but if you sign up for their email specials, the discount coupons will make up for that. Make sure you keep on eye on the expiration date of the coupons.

I was so excited to be saving money on this site. Yes, you pay the price in shipping, but it still comes out less than other sites and is probably easier than the drive. (I live in the city, sans car, so that's pretty valuable.)
I was disappointed to wait the full five days for my order, in addition to waiting for it to ship, but it was fine since I assumed they were waiting for the "freshest product in stock," as they cleverly put it. It finally gets here, and I'm missing the one item my cat was looking forward to the most. I don't know about you, but it drives me up the wall when you CAN'T FILL AN ORDER PROPERLY. Especially after FIVE BUSINESS DAYS. They had the audacity to check that item off on the receipt, like they had surely put it in the box. This was my first time trying their service. Now, officially the last time. |

My order took 14 days to receive. I ordered DermaPet DermaBenSs Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo for my cat who has staph. Obviously, I needed it by the mere fact this is a product for skin conditions.
I ordered four other items that night; some x-mas gifts from large companies, some little stuff from Ebay, even two on-line bookstores--everything arrived in a week's time or less except the shampoo from Petfooddirect.com. The shipping was $6.00 for an 8 oz. bottle of shampoo that cost $8.00 and the box it arrived in, could have housed a table lamp. I could not find one discount code for this company. At the time I could not find any of this shampoo my vet recommended in stock except from a company in Australia. I should have used the Australian site but I thought ordering in the USA would be faster, which normally is faster. I truly believe Petfooddirect.com operates out of someone's home basement and they call in orders to wholesalers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. |
