The AC charger conveniently recharges the supplied batteries in the radios. A tone will sound when calling each other and a roger beep lets others know when you finish speaking. The scan helps you find others in your area. A headset jack allows you to listen to radio chatter even when you're trying not to scare away your prized prey. Belt clips help you keep the radios on you. The package includes two radios, six AAA NiMH batteries, two belt clips, AC charger and printed materials. Uniden packaging is 100 percent recyclable, minimal in size and printed with non-toxic inks. The Uniden manufacturing standards restrict the use of hazardous chemicals. The FCC requires GMRS operators to have a license. No license is required for operating FRS channels 8-14 or any channel in Canada.
