U-Line Origins 75WC Wine Cooler

We've had this model since 2000, installed at the time our home was built. It is a basic 'no frills' U Line model. It has met our needs, until the compressor failed in 2006. We had the compressor replaced and the unit serviced. Replacement compressor ($400 including installation labor) lasted 10 months, and was only covered under a 90 day warranty, per the appliance service company. Undercounter placement of unit provides ample circulation, per the service technician. Unit is currently not operational. So after 7 plus years of ownership, at a total cost exceeding $1600 (original cost plus replaced parts and service), this has been a rather costly endeavor to keep our wine cool. I think we'll stick with the basement cellar.
