2002 Toyota RAV4

Toyotas smallest SUV has a 2.0-liter 4-cyl engine with manual or optional automatic transmission. RAV4 is offered with front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing. Side airbags arent available, but ABS is, as are optional leather upholstery, alloy wheels, and sunroof. The Upgrade L Package option includes air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows/locks/mirrors. It also includes a hard cover for the outside spare tire, and color-keyed body trim.

Pros Sporty, Leg/Head Room, Gas Mileage, Fun To Drive, Plenty of pep with a stick shift
Cons ? Not a monster SUV for those who want to rule the road...
Recommended it? Yes

What can you say about the RAV4 other than 'spectacular.' This car combines the benefits of larger SUV's with the benefits of smaller passenger cars. Great gas mileage, four-wheel drive, comfortable ride, space for passengers and/or cargo – what else could you ask for?

Pros Aggressive styling - tight body - A BLAST to drive
Cons You have to spend a lot of extra $$ for options to "dress" it up
Recommended it? Yes

My wife and I did a lot of internet research as well as leg work before we decided on the RAV4. We were still undecided until we saw a black RAV4 with the upgraded L package. We decided to buy it on the spot.

Pros Cargo space, size of the vehicle
