Really rather nice

byastrobiologist Mar 17, 2006
10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Cheap, portable, stable enough for handheld use, optics pretty sharp, good warranty
Cons Flimsy tripod mount, ghost images
Recommended it? Yes

Pros Low price, light weight, alignment, light gathering, magnification, 5mm exit pupil
Cons Astigmatism, coma, minor glare, collimation

70mm binoculars should be... Read full review »

Very Sharp, Bright and Contrasty with some Chromatic Fringing

I purchased these recently at my local Canadian Tire, north of Montreal, Canada as they were on sale at $89 from a regular price of $149 (which is in my opinion excessive but such is the nature of the Canadian Market, that's... Read full review »

Pros beautiful images
Cons collimation, though easily fixed.  get a tripod and new,, sturdier adapter
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the skymaster and was upset.  I was seeing double vision.  These were my first pair of astro binoculars, so I was very let down.  I did some research and found out the collimation was incorrect.  This was a super easy fix.  The collimation seems like the biggest... Read full review »
